This weekend lives in an atmosphere of celebration, as we celebrate the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike and all its effects on the local economy (as well as the many Listers who work as part of that union). We also mourn the dearly departed, as the seasonal tradition of Requiem performances continues after Halloween, All Souls’ Day and the Day of the Dead. But this weekend also offers a chance to get out before a huge Pacific storm hits, heralding the return of El NiƱo to SoCal, and an increasingly rare change to break out the boots, scarves and gloves. (Don’t forget the umbrellas!)
I hope you can all perform and enjoy much gorgeous music this week, stay dry and healthy, and enjoy the fabulous fall. Be well, everyone!
