Getting ready to strut that stuff

This is our two-week Thanksgiving issue, which means that a LOT is happening in the Next 14: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the first Sunday of Advent, Giving Tuesday, and the start of the roller-coaster ride that is the Christmas concert season. This is the time of year when musicians and other performers are juggling packed schedules and family traditions, hours of traffic, and judging the complexity of each day by the Costume Scale, i.e. how many outfits they need for that day. It’s a lot.

So Thanksgiving weekend might provide the last respite before the end of the year, and I hope all of our performing readers will have a moment to themselves sometime soon. As you gear up for December’s extended spotlight, take care of yourself and get some rest. It’s going to be a terrific year, and one of the most “normal” holiday seasons we’ve had in while. Enjoy yourselves, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
