Creating like clockwork

Even as the season is winding down, the Listerhood is putting out intriguing, thought-provoking events!  This week, we’re featuring one performance written, produced and starring a whole horde of Listers; a workshop hosted by a support org with a specific mission; and a benefit that spotlights music of the Near East.

Tonight or tomorrow, catch the Mission Opera premiere of The 13 Clocks in Santa Clarita, composer David Avshalomov’s operatic adaptation of James Thurber’s classic story.

Sunday, the folks at The Ageless Singer offer another fantastic workshop that addresses vocal change, with a special guest.

Also on Sunday, Ashkina‘s fundraiser concert for UNICEF is a unique opportunity to hear multi-national performers present an ethnically diverse array of music with a single focus:  Peace. (Would could all use more of that!)

The SoCal arts landscape never fails to amaze.  We’re so lucky to have a landscape where artists can explore and inspire in ever more surprising ways.  Keep up the terrific work, everyone.  It’s going to be a great summer.
