The pandemic has thrown us all for a loop, but it has made it clear that we need each other. For this and many other reasons, I’m looking to build an active blog with multiple voices, so our readers can benefit from a variety of perspectives and backgrounds.
We’re getting organized around this idea, and hosting a Zoom Q&A with Lauri and several candidates on Sunday, September 19 at 3pm. This will be a short session: We’ll have a very short presentation to go over the basics of the new program, and will then hang around to answer whatever questions you may have.
If you’re still interested, please join us — RSVP is required, and you can sign up on the website:
More details
There is no cost to attend. We’re looking to work with 6-10 volunteer bloggers over the next year, with minimal commitment (1 or 2 posts per year) and very manageable content expectations. The “sweet spot” for our readers is 500-800 words, and we’ll consider a wide variety of arts-related topics.
There is no pay at this time, but we have a number of “blogger benefits” in mind so that each relationship will be mutually beneficial. We plan to offer some financial compensation to our veteran bloggers starting in 2022.
Discussion
We’ll talk about program expectations, potential topics, program benefits, and our editorial process. There will be plenty of time for questions.
The whole thing should take 20-30 minutes, but I’ll hang out as long as needed to make sure questions are answers and concerns are addressed. This is intended to be a fun way to get involved, not a big burden. Please let us know what’s on your mind, and let’s talk about it!
Can’t make it?If you’re interested, register anyway — we’ll send you the basics and I’d be happy to speak with you at another time.
Know someone who might be a good fit? Please feel free to share this email and/or the registration link. Advance registration is required — we’ll send attendees the Zoom info the morning of the event.
Timing not right? Let us know if you’d like to revisit this opportunity later — we’ll add you to the waiting list. Contact us here
