One of the things Vox Femina does best is that they excel at combining very different elements in their themed performances. This Sunday, they’ll do it again with ” Our Children, Our Hope“, a program that centers around what moms want for their kiddos. This intimately themed concert takes place in a big space, First Congregational Church of Los Angeles, with a big partner: Planned Parenthood. It also boasts narration by a big star, the award-winning legend of stage and screen, the wonderful Joanna Gleason (pictured). With an excellent ensemble led by Dr. Iris Levine, their unusual mission seems like a bonus: “Through music, we aim to create a world that affirms the worth and dignity of every person.” We say, “hear, hear”.
