The fight is here — right now

Arts community, it’s time to speak up — TODAY.  As of this morning, Donald Trump’s administration has released a budget proposal that, as they have repeatedly threatened, completely eliminates the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institute for Library and Museum Services, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. As Chamber Music America has so eloquently stated,

“While this is not the first time that the arts and the NEA have been threatened by federal budget cuts, it comes at a time when other cultural freedoms are also being challenged, making this one more serious than usual.”

We defer to their well laid-out plan for supporting your these agencies, and hope you’ll raise your artistic voices in a loud and resounding “no way”.
