We do many things at the List, including creating specially targeted seminars and workshops for independent artists, so our members and community supporters can grow beyond the norm. These business-minded workshops target specific skills that will help participants reach further and stay in the game longer, building a clear vision of what they want and figuring out how to get there.
This summer, we’re offering three weekends chock-full of learning goodness, with individual workshops priced for summer budgets — each less than the average voice lesson, with discounts available for current full members with Lauri’s List. This means that even if you weren’t able to sneak away for a few weeks’ worth of summer training, you can expand your horizons right here, and put your newfound skills to use immediately as you prepare for the new season.
The first of these weekends is coming up in about two weeks, so register asap to reserve your spot. Here’s the basic schedule:
Saturday, June 25
- 10am to 11:30am — Social Marketing for the Arts
- 1pm to 3pm — Quick Web: Plan first for a quick start
- 3:30pm to 5pm — Networking Without Worry
Sunday, June 26

- 3:30pm to 5pm — Help Us Help You: A bio & headshot workshop
This weekend of workshops with be at our unSUNg home: St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1020 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale. We’ll be in the air-conditioned Parish Hall, with plenty of room to spread out and get things done!
BONUS: Our end-of-season schmooze is scheduled for Sunday evening in Pasadena, allowing students time to get some extra help in between, and then celebrate what we hope will be a new lease on life. (The rest of the Listerhood is welcome at the schmooze, of course, too!)
