After several decades, Pasadena staple Old Town Music Company is moving from their quaint turn-of-the-century basement-level space in the heart of (you guessed it) Old Town to a more modern, more spacious facility further to the east, in the “Mid-Central” section of the Rose City. This move follows last year’s sale of the stalwart music biz and rebranding as Bertrand’s Old Town Music Company, and instills hope that one of the last great sheet music stores in the country may continue to live.
The store has already started a massive sale to reduce the amount of inventory they have to take with them. Take advantage, and please continue to support this business that has supported local classical music for so many decades. Details follow below.
UPDATE: Come to the current location now at 42 E. Colorado Blvd, and receive a coupon for 20% off any single item at the new store. Score!
Their new address will be 145 Vista Ave. Pasadena, CA 91107, and the new location will open on March 21st. Congrats to all of the staff and management of OTMC, and many thanks to founder and former owner Fritzie Culick for her mountains of hard work through the years!
