Bridging the gaps with music

Looking ahead to the LA Phil’s opening ‘Immortal Beethoven‘ series, we have a little wisdom from Ludwig:

It’s so easy to spend our lives stuck in one realm or another.  Music is the bridge, the language and the means of unifying the parts of our existence.  You can hear it in his music, certainly, and that of many others.

“Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.”
— Ludwig van Beethoven

So many music-themed accessories are overdone, too cutesy, or just plain ugly.  This vase, over a foot tall, has a subtlety to it, and is designed with music from Beethoven’s final piano sonata, a masterpiece written around the same time as his 9th symphony and the Missa Solemnis.  Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift — it’ll look great in your teaching studio or music room.

This is part of a weekly inspirational series on the Singerpreneur blog and social media for Lauri’s List. The 2015 quotes are also archived on Facebook and Pearltrees.
