ACA Preview: Will health reform be enough for singers?

Joanna Cazden‘s fans are intensely loyal and enthusiastic, and with good reason:  this wonder of a voice therapist has saved countless voices across the Southland, and where her reach has already been extensive beyond the local area, it’s about to get significantly bigger, as Hal Leonard’s Performing Arts Publishing Group has taken over publication of her excellent book, Everyday Voice Care, and will use their massive distribution engine to spread the word far and wide.

While we wait for that new edition, we can dip into Joanna’s invaluable blog of the same name.  Last week she tackled the monumental topic of the current healthcare reform legislation and its recent passage through the Supreme Court.  Independent artists are particularly anxious about how the new model for health insurance and access to care will affect us, and Cazden’s insightful look into this deeply polarizing issue is sure to enlighten many and to start some discussion.  See for yourself:
